Cancer is a very frightening word when a child is sick

Every day around 10 young people in the UK are diagnosed with cancer. Despite improving survival rates, cancer is the leading cause of death in children, teenagers and young adults. Hundreds of children will be told this year that they have cancer. Just let that sink in for a moment. When we learned about the challenges that they face, we decided to do something.

What are we doing to help?

In order to raise awareness and to raise funds, the My Doodles designers have created some special products for Cancer Research UK Kids and Teens: A Dragon and a Unicorn!

Available across a variety of products such as USB, headphones, and tablet cases, with each and every sale we will donate a minimum of 50 pence directly to Cancer Research UK Kids and Teens.

We made a promotional video to highlight what we are doing to champion the cause.

Inspiring children

We worked with Cancer Research UK Kids and Teens and encouraged a girl called Bella, who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia when she was very young, to design a new character herself.

We were so impressed with her designs that it was so hard to choose, but eventually we decided on the fairy – and you can see Bella’s design in stores and online.

Getting active

The research that Cancer Research UK Kids and Teens carry out and the fantastic support that they offer young people, their families, and their friends, means that young people up and down the country are better able to face cancer thanks to kinder treatments and cures.

The My Doodles team has been so touched by the charity that we’re organising our own fundraising challenges as well.

Just recently the team took part in the Three Peaks Challenge, and raised a whopping £1500!

We’re passionate about beating Cancer, especially in young people. Keep an eye on our page to see what other fundraising activities we take part in this year!
